Retinols are metabolized into retinoic acids by alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and
retinaldehyde dehydrogenase (Raldh). However, their roles have yet to be clarified in
hepatitis despite enriched retinols in hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). Therefore, we
